One-Pot Recipes
There are a lot of “One-Pot” recipes on the internet. You should def include “one-Pot” keyword in your recipe google search if fear of washing dishes stops you from cooking. Following are the ones that I tried and worked successfully for me.
- One-Pot Creamy Pasta
- Instant Pot Chickpea Curry
- One-Pot Rose Pasta
- Instant Pot Lentil Curry
- Instant Pot Potatoe and Pea Curry
- One-Bowl Banana Bread
- Instant Rice-Lentil Porridge (Khichdi)
- Instant Pot Mushroom Recipe
You can pair up your curry with rice or quinoa. You can use the instant pot for your grains too, but if your instant pot is being used for curries, below are the stovetop recipes, so you can cook both simultaneously.
Cooking Tips for Beginners
- If you are just starting Curry cooking, 2 species you should buy right away is — Tumeric and Coriander Powder. (In my view, rest all are optional, obviously salt is necessary)
- It is okay to skip some spices from the recipes even if the chef doesn’t say it is optional. Refer #1.
- It is okay to skip a veggie (e.g. skip peas from Peas-Potatoe Curry, now you are making juts potatoes curry)
- It is also okay to buy a spice for a recipe and never use it again. Don’t fret or overthink.
- Always keep a positive outlook about cooking, it is always (almost always) better to cook yourself than to order-in.
